The SOLARA spirit

A small resort, built around the art of staying.

SOLARA is a boutique retreat of twelve suites and villas, tucked between green gardens and the open horizon. We designed it for slow travel: long breakfasts, shaded terraces, water close by and nothing in particular to do.

Every corner is considered — natural linens, hand-thrown ceramics, seasonal produce from nearby growers, and a spa where the day simply softens. Nothing hurried, nothing loud. Just room to rest, and a little more light than you remembered.

Experiences

Days that unfold gently.

Nothing is compulsory. Everything is thoughtfully prepared — choose a little, or choose nothing at all.

  • Spa & wellness

Slow rituals with warm oils, steam and long, unhurried treatments in quiet garden rooms.

  • Private dining

A lantern-lit table for two on the terrace, served by the season and the sea breeze.

  • Morning yoga

Gentle movement at first light on the lawn, before the day has a shape.

  • Infinity pool

Still water that meets the horizon, with shaded loungers and cold glasses of citrus.

  • Guided excursions

Coastal walks, hill villages and morning markets with people who know the land.

Dining

Seasonal plates, terrace evenings

At our signature restaurant, dinner is a relaxed affair. Menus follow what the gardens and nearby growers offer that week — grilled vegetables, fresh fish, slow bread, something sweet with fruit.

Sit outside as the light turns gold, order another glass, and let the evening take its time. Breakfast is served until late; lunch is whatever you feel like by the water.

  • Garden to table

Herbs, citrus and greens picked the same morning they reach your plate.

  • Small, considered list

Coastal wines and low-intervention bottles, chosen to suit the season.

  • Dinner on the terrace

Lanterns, linen and a long table under the trees from six until late.

Wellness

Rest, and nothing else

Our spa is a handful of quiet rooms, a steam bath and a small pool under the leaves. Rituals are slow by design: warm oils, steady hands, the sound of water somewhere nearby.

Mornings begin with gentle movement on the lawn. Afternoons are for shade, a book and a long nap. Evenings close softly — herbal tea, cool air, early nights.

Guest notes

Quietly remembered.

A few words from fictional guests who stayed a little longer than planned.

Marta & Jon

Garden Suite, spring

We came for three nights and stayed for six. The quiet does something to you — we read whole books and watched the light change over the water.
  • The service is attentive without ever being intrusive. Someone always seems to know what you need, long before you ask for it.

    Elena R.

  • Breakfast on the terrace, a swim before lunch, nowhere to be. It is the only holiday I have booked again before leaving.

Booking info

Good to know before you come.

Everything you might want to ask about arriving, staying and booking a fictional SOLARA escape.

What time is check-in?

Check-in opens at 15:00 and check-out is until 12:00. Early arrivals are welcome — we will hold your luggage and pour you something cold while your suite is prepared.

Late departures can often be arranged; just ask a day ahead.

What is included in a stay?

A long seasonal breakfast, water and fruit in your suite, use of the pool and spa facilities, garden and terrace access, and the morning movement sessions.

Treatments, private dining and guided excursions are booked separately.

When is the best time to visit?

Late spring and early autumn are our favourites — warm days, cool evenings and softer light. Summer is liveliest; winter is the quietest, which some guests love.

How do I reserve?

Send us your preferred dates through the enquiry form and we will reply personally within one working day.

A stay is confirmed with a deposit; the balance is settled on arrival. This is a fictional resort, so no payment is ever taken.

Is the resort suitable for children or quiet retreats?

Both. Families are welcome in the villas, and we keep one garden wing calm and adults-only for guests seeking stillness.

How do we get there?

We are a short drive from the nearest small airport and arrange transfers on request. Directions and timings are sent with your booking confirmation.
